Hot Water Troubleshooting Guide
Problem |

Cloudy Water |
High bacteria level |
Check sanitizer level, add more of your sanitizer |

Dirty Filter |
Clean filter, replace with new filter, or soak filter overnight in filter cleaning solution, rinse well |

High TDS levels |
Water is saturated and needs drained, fill with fresh water (this should be done every 3-4 months) |
Brown Water |
Mineral count is high |

Algae growth |

Chlorine Chemical Usage Instructions |

Spa Start Up |
Step 1 |
Start filling hot tub with fresh water |
Step 2 |
Add 3oz. Stain & Scale while filling spa with cold water. |
Step 3 |
Once water is above 80 degrees balance pH & Alkalinity (this may take several adjustments, see below) |
Step 4 |
Add 1oz. Chlorine to water |
Step 5 |
After 3 hours from adding Stain & Scale, or the next day add 1/2 oz Natural & Clear |

* Note Stain & Scale and Natural & Clear should not be added together, make sure at least 3 hours is in between adding, as they will work against each other if added too close together |
After Each Use |
Step 1 |
Monitor Chlorine levels with test strip (Dip test strip in water and match colors with bottle) |
Step 2 |
If spa is getting heavy usage add 1/2 oz chlorine. |
Weekly Maintenance |
Step 1 |
Monitor Chlorine, pH & Alkalinity levels with test strip(Dip test strip in water and match colors with bottle) |
Step 2 |
Add 1 oz. chlorine. |
Step 3 |
Add 1/2 oz. Natural & Clear |
Step 4 |
3 hours later add 1 oz. Stain & Scale |

Clean Filters, or replace with alternating set |
Balancing pH & Alkalinity |
Step 1 |
Dip test strip in water, match to color codes on bottle |

*Note water should be 80 degrees or higher before adjusting water. |
Step 2 |
If pH/or alkalinity is low: |
|
→add 1/2 oz of pH/alkalinity Up (+) to water, make sure water is circulating |
|
→ Check water in 30 minutes, repeat if necessary until water is balanced |

If pH/alkalinity is high: |
|
→ add 1/2 oz of pH/alkalinity Down (-) to water, make sure water is circulating |
|
→ Check water in 30 minutes, repeat if necessary until water is balanced |

Spa Start Up |
